Meet the team

Crossbeam Communications is run by a small team of passionate Christian professionals led by Elisabeth Carter. We’re proud to be female-owned, flexible and family-friendly.

Elisabeth Carter

  • Elisabeth Carter is the Managing Director and Founder of Crossbeam Communications. She is an expert in her field, having worked in communications, marketing and fundraising with dozens of Christian organisations for over a decade. She started Crossbeam in 2021.

    Elisabeth lives in Sydney with her husband, two daughters and grumpy cat. She attends St Oswald’s Anglican Church in Haberfield and holds a degree in Media and Communications from the University of Sydney.

Ngaire Buckley

  • Ngaire Buckley is the Creative Director at Crossbeam. She has expertise in communications strategy, content writing, digital marketing and more, having honed her skills across work in various sectors including non-profit, technology, education, church and ministry.

    Ngaire is based in the Blue Mountains where she attends Springwood Anglican Church. She holds a Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations & Media) from the University of Technology Sydney.

Georgia Condie

  • Georgia Condie is a talented communications professional with particular gifts in graphic design. She has worked in design and communications for Christian organisations, churches, and nonprofits for a decade (including plenty of contract work with Crossbeam before she joined the team!)

    Georgia attends Anglican Churches Springwood where her husband is an assistant minister. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Communication from the University of Technology Sydney and has two sons.

Courtney Charters

  • Courtney Charters is a Communications Specialist at Crossbeam Communications.

    She combines her background in marketing, communications, and theology to craft purposeful, gospel-centred messaging. With a Graduate Diploma of Divinity from SMBC and a Bachelor’s in Law and Commerce from Macquarie University, Courtney brings over four years of experience creating strategic, values-driven content across digital and print platforms.

    Outside of work, she’s actively involved in women’s ministry and worship at Anchor South West, investing deeply in discipleship and community.

Kathleen Travers

  • Kathleen Travers is an artist and designer, specialising in brand identity and concept development. 

    She has worked with a wide range of Christian charities, churches and businesses for over ten years and is committed to seeing the Australian Church equipped for creative excellence.

    Kathleen lives in Sydney and attends, studies and works at Glorious Gospel Church (GGC Life). She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNSW Art & Design School and a Cert IV in Ministry and Theology from GGC College. 

Issie Shashati

  • Issie Shashati is a Social Media Content Creator at Crossbeam Communications. She has worked in media and communications for the past five years with C3 Church as a lead graphic designer and content creator.

    With a Bachelor of Design in Photography from UTS and experience across photography, videography and design, Issie is passionate about creating meaningful and engaging visual content that supports Christian ministries and organisation in building the Kingdom of God.

    Issie lives in Sydney and attends Baycity Church in Arncliffe with her husband, where she actively serves in creative ministry.

Rebecca Sharley

  • Rebecca Sharley is a content writer at Crossbeam Communications. From a background in education, Rebecca has worked as a writer and editor for the past few years. She has a passion for using words to communicate good and true things clearly and helping ministries thrive in this area.

    Rebecca lives in the Inner West of Sydney with her husband, daughter and two cats. Her family attends Newtown Erskineville Anglican Church where you can find Rebecca leading cemetery tours or running playgroup sessions.
